Incredible attention was given in detail for the character in the steel of this Damascus knife. Each wave indicates 2 layers of the 1095 high carbon steel and 15N20 alloy steel, for a total of 400 layers. This blade started it's life as two hunks of metal, and was painstakingly heated and hammered into it's current form today. Then an acid wash was used to remove impurities and rectify the surface before sharpening of the edge. And oh baby is this thing sharp! The handle features 1095 Damascus steel and also natural Buffalo horn, which is a renewable and impervious resource for knife making. The rivets attaching the grip have holes that allow you to wrap the handle or even tie it to a pole and make a spear. Oil is applied to the blade to preserve the carbon steel. Please note, some very slight differences may be present from the pictures due to the nature of handmade knives from natural materials. Comes with a leather holster with belt loop. Free leather sheath color or style may vary.
